Reunion | Authspot

Standard

I just got back from visiting my boyfriend’s oldest son graduate from Basic Training. This was the longest amount of time father and son have ever been separated from one another ~ ten weeks! Their only way of communication was via letters and the rare staticy phone call. I was so blessed to be a witness of this bittersweet reunion that I had to write up something to commemorate the moment. Hope you enjoy.

A Mullica Dialogue Ii | Quazen.

If you enjoyed  Squirrel’s first conversation, wait until you hear him get himself into trouble with Tom.

Here’s a snippet:

Tom: Now, Squirrel, you know that’s not your weekend territory. You might better not let your ma catch you round there neither.
Squirrel: I know. I know. It’s just I followed this girl there one day.
Tom: From where?
Squirrel: From her house, of course.

My Debut Novel is Finally Available!!!

Standard

I’m finally a published author!

After 15 + years of fearing, holding back, waiting for the right time, etc. I took the leap and wrote my first novel.

It’s an excitement I can also share with my teenage daughter. At 13, she is a published illustrator – drawing not only the cover art, but all of the inside illustrations as well! I am so proud of her.

My novel is currently available in paperback and hardback. The e-book format will be ready for purchase in another 4 weeks.

Here’s the links where it can be purchased:

A Poem for Father’s Day

Standard

My dad is a hard man to shop for so when Father’s Day rolls around every year, I struggle on what to get him. This year, though, I thought I would write him a poem to tell him what he means to me.

It’s entitled Who You Are to Me. And it starts off like this…

Father,
You are to me…

Part Two of Emma’s Story

Sara: A Christmas Story

After many of my friends commented on The Room of Memory, I decided to continue Emma’s story focusing more on her relationship with her mother and building her mother’s own story as well. This sequel to The Room of Memory attempts to bring the reader closer to both ladies’ hearts.

The Room of MemoryLake Early Morning For

While this started out as a simple completion of an assignment, Emma’s story only starts with this one. I was inspired by my church’s Women’s Retreat where I discovered who I should be while taking in the beauty of the mountains and all its natural serenity. Who knew that taking pictures of all that captured my eye there would capture more in writing.
