After many of my friends commented on The Room of Memory, I decided to continue Emma’s story focusing more on her relationship with her mother and building her mother’s own story as well. This sequel to The Room of Memory attempts to bring the reader closer to both ladies’ hearts.
While this started out as a simple completion of an assignment, Emma’s story only starts with this one. I was inspired by my church’s Women’s Retreat where I discovered who I should be while taking in the beauty of the mountains and all its natural serenity. Who knew that taking pictures of all that captured my eye there would capture more in writing.
It is a disease that affects millions of Americans a year, but accepted in a positive light, families of those who suffer from this memory deteriorating illness can come to a greater understanding of their loved ones.
